A medium-voltage system can continue to operate reliably for many years. However, there comes a time when outdated components, limited availability of replacement parts, and increased maintenance difficulties pose a risk. Timely replacement helps ensure the system’s reliability well into the future.
Before and After
For this project, the decision was made to carry out a thorough renovation of the existing medium-voltage system. The technical equipment inside was completely replaced.
The work includes, among other things, new medium-voltage switchgear, a new 400 kVA transformer, and a new panel for visible disconnection and auxiliary power supplies.
This allowed the existing infrastructure to be adapted once again to current technical requirements without the need for a completely new cabin.
Ready for the Future
The result is a modernized and reliable medium-voltage system that is once again ready for many years of service.
The renovation also took future energy needs into account. For example, the system has been designed to accommodate future developments, such as the integration of solar panels and battery storage.
